RENAULT KWID ZE
Renault India has launched several products in the market. Above all, Renault Duster has ruled the market in its cross-over segment. Now Renault is planning to launch an electric hatchback under the name of its popular car Kwid.
Renault has also showcased K-ZE in auto expo 2020 as its upcoming electric car for the Indian market. The car is based on the CMF- A platform that uses a 26.8 kWh.
In addition, the car is powered with an electric motor and a pack of lithium-ion battery that generates a power of 44ps and 125 nm of torque. This hatchback also offers a range of 271km (NEDC- new European driving cycle certified).
KIA SOUL EV
Kia Soul is the most popular electric sub-compact Suv by Kia motors and it won the world urban car of the year 2020 at 15th World Car Awards
This car is equipped with an electric motor that produced 110bhp and 285 Nm of torque. It has a maximum range of 450 km in a single charge.
The Korean carmaker might bring this vehicle to the Indian market by the end of the year 2020 and it will be a tough competitor for its Korean sibling Hyundai Kona electric.
The expected launch period of this vehicle is from October – December 2020 and the expected price range of this vehicle is ₹ 23 -25 lakh (ex-showroom)
MARUTI SUZUKI FUTURO-E
Maruti Suzuki has conceptualized and designed this beautiful coupe-styled electric concept car Futuro E.
The company claims that they have designed this electric coupe for aspirational youth. This car has a sitting capacity of four persons. The car has a large LED daytime running light at the front, which gives it a muscular appeal.
The automaker would launch Futuro-E by 2021.
Furthermore, it will be a tough competitor for its rivals Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona Electric.
The expected price of the car is between ₹10-15 lakhs
TATA ALTROZ EV
After the launch of Nexon EV, Tata is planning to launch its 5 seater premium hatchback Altroz EV. It will come with Tata’s own ziptron powertrain technology that comprises a lithium-ion battery pack. While exteriors don’t look different from the non-electric Altroz, it has got the tea blue color scheme which makes it more premium.
Tata Altroz comprises an ARAI- certified range of 321 km on a single charge.
When plugged into a fast-charger, the battery of the car can get charged up to 80% within an hour.
Additionally, Tata is expected to start the sale of Electric Altroz by end 2020.
Moreover, the starting price of the car is expected to be around ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom)
MAHINDRA E- XUV 300
Mahindra has launched its new electric vehicle avatar, namely E Xuv 300. After getting huge success in the Suv segment, the home carmaker Mahindra is planning to enter the electric car market in India.
Electric Xuv 300 at the Auto-Expo 2020. In addition, the model has retained the basic styling of its non-electric sibling Xuv 300. The cabin will come with minor tweaks and few updated features.
Further, Xuv 300 EV will come in two variants. The car will offer a range of up to 200km in the standard model and up to 350km in the long-range version. Subsequently, the expected price of the subcompact electric Suv is ₹18 lakh(ex-showroom) and its likely to make debut in 2021
VOLKSWAGEN ID CROZZ
The Volkswagen Id Crozz is a new electric concept sports utility vehicle based on the Volkswagen electric drive matrix platform. The German manufacturer also showcased this vehicle at auto expo 2020.
Further, the electric beast has a driving range of up to 500km in a single charge. It takes around half an hour to charge up to 80% of the battery, which shows that VW is capable of developing electric vehicles.
The electric SUV can attain a speed of 180kmph. Moreover, the company has not officially disclosed other specifications of this concept model.
Lastly, VW may enter into production by end-2020 or in early 2021.
