After the immense success of Morris Garages in the Indian market, the British company MG Motor India is about to launch its new SUV MG Hector Plus by the next month of July.

MG India has officially confirmed this information through its official Twitter account. Car lovers have been waiting for this car for a long time.

The company showcased MG Hector Plus at the recent 2020 Auto Expo. It is the most distinctive version of the company’s most popular SUV, the MG Hector.

MG Hector success in India

MG Motor entered the Indian automobile market in June last year, with its premium Internet Suv MG Hector.

The company’s car became very popular in India, In just 8 months, Hector’s booking crossed the 50 thousand mark.

After MG Hector’s success, the company also launched its second car MG ZS EV in India, which also set a booking record.

After the tremendous booking, MG ZS EV had canceled before its launch, Now the company is going to take out the big Suv car by the next month.

Mg Hector Plus

The new Hector Plus is the upgraded version of the existing Mg hector, which will come with more seat options also with More cabin space.

The 6-seater model of Hector Plus was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 with two captain seats in the middle row, Both these seats need to be tilted to access the third-row seat.

This SUV will come with a customizable (2 2 2/2 3 2) seating option. According to MG Motor, more space will be available in the new Hector.

furthermore, the length of Hector Plus has increased by 40 mm as compared to the current 5 seater model.

7-seater Hector Plus very soon

Apart from the 6-seater model the company is planning to launch a 7-seater model by the end of the year.

The 7 seater version will get a 60:40 split-bench seat in the second row.

Interiors

Hector Plus will have an updated interior along with the 10.4-inch vertical styled infotainment system.

At the same time, it supports the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with new 50 connected features.

Exterior

The Hector will get a fresh exterior compared to current Hector for instance new headlamps, front lamps, bumpers, taillight design, and revised skid front.

As per the MG India President & MD Rajiv Chaba, MG Products was well received by the audience at the Auto Expo 2020.

Features:

Features are likely to be quite similar to the MG Hector. moreover expected to have MG’s iSmart Internet connectivity.

This car will have 360-degree camera and front parking sensors.

The expected safety features are 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, fatigue reminders, and 3-point seatbelts.

The top variants look forward to offering more premium options like the panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, and such.

Price and competition

MG India has started the production of MG Hector Plus at the company’s Halol plant in Gujarat.

The Hector plus will compete with the SUV like Mahindra XUV500, Tata Harrier 7-seater, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Jeep Compass.

The ex-showroom price of the new Hector Plus will start from the Rs 12.73 lakh and Rs 17.43 lakh.
