Korean automaker Hyundai has launched a completely redesigned Verna 2020 with a fresh look in the Indian market. The launch of the new facelifted version comes ahead of the BSVI deadline, with a new range of diesel and petrol engines.
Exteriors
The car comprises a bigger honeycomb grille in the black and triangular fog lamp housing. In addition, The freshly launched version has LED headlamps as well as tail lamps.
The carmaker has come up with a new set of wheels in dual-tone design for better aesthetics.
Interiors
Although the interior is similar to the previous model but has minor tweaks such as faux wood inlays, redesigned AC vents, and a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The new car has also got a digital instrument cluster. The vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, hands-free boot opening, ventilated seats, and wireless charging.
New Verna 2020 Safety Features
Hyundai is known for its advanced and unique safety features. In the vehicle, one gets ABS, EBD, standard dual airbags, front seat-belt reminders, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors along with reverse parking sensors.
Engine Specifications
Verna 2020 comes in three engine options 1.0-liter turbo petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces a power of 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque.
The diesel variant produces the same levels of power as a 1.5-liter petrol variant and 250 Nm of torque. All engines are BS6-compliant.
The 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with a torque convertor automatic and a CVT, respectively. The turbo petrol engine is offered only with a 7-speed DCT.
Variants and Price
The automaker has introduced four variants of the car – S, S+, SX and SX(O). The price range of the new Hyundai Verna 2020 is Rs. 9.31 – 15.10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
