WagonR 7 Seater Overview

Maruti Suzuki India may bring a larger version of its popular hatchback car WagonR. According to the report, it could be a 7-seater model.

Maruti first showcased the WagonR 7-seater concept model at the 2013 Indonesia Motor Show. Recently, it was spotted during testing in Delhi-NCR.

Since then, the discussion has intensified that the company may soon launch the 7-seater model in India

New Design

Compared to the standard model, the new WagonR testing model seems longer.

The report states that the 7-seater WagonR can be up to 100 mm longer than the 5-seater model. However, the total length of the car may be smaller than 4-meters.

As the length of the car increases So there can be third-row seats, which will be better for children.

New Style

The 7-seater WagonR may have a different look and style than the 5-seater WagonR.

The front bumper, grille, headlamp, rear bumper, and tail lamp may have different designs.

According to the report, the platform and body panels used in the 7-seater WagonR will be the ones with the 5-seater WagonR.

The engine will be the same as 1.2 liter which comes in the 5 seater model, It could get a mild-hybrid system and BS6 ready.

Features

The interior of the 7-seater car will look fresh and premium and likely to get more features like push start-stop button and cabin will be more spacious than before.

Expected Price

The all-new avatar of 7 Seater Wagon-R is expected to price ₹ 1 lakh higher than standard Wagon R. Also Maruti Suzuki will price the model very aggressively and will be tough competition for the Renault 7 Seater(Triber).

Launch Details

According to the report, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR 7-seater will be first launched in the Indonesian market.

So as of now, the company has not officially announced the launch details for the Indian market but WagonR 7-seater place below the Ertiga in the lineup of Maruti Suzuki India.
